Antiques and collectibles flows in my veins. Ever since I could crawl I've been scouring estate sales, thrift shops and picking with my Mom. My lovely Mom inherited the "eye" from her Mother and operated an Antique shop in Northern California for over 30 years. I absorbed vicariously her knowledge and love of antiques. Once I flew the coop, I began treasure hunting on my own in the 1980's, when you could still find a sterling silver fork for 25 cents. Ah, the good old days before, The Antique Roadshow, Pickers, etc. Now the jig is up and we, as purveyors of antiquities, have to be on our toes. I love the thrill of the hunt and sharing my finds with Etsy.

My Grandma was a huge inspiration for me. From poultry farmer, musician, to hat maker and seamstress, to wearer of sparkly and colorful jewelry. She really had flair and knew how to shine. I'll never forget an old B&W photo of her and my Dad, dressed head to toe in handmade, singing-cowboy-attire, circa late 1930's Gene Autry. (As seen in the photo) My Grandma would be proud.

I developed a creative eye from Humboldt State University. I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1996 with my Bachelor of Art degree in Art, my MRS. title and a B-A-B-Y all in the same year. I love living with my family, including our 100-pound mutt on our farm, raising teens, chickens, fruit and veggies, and creating one-of-kind art all while dancing to crazy, funky, gypsy music. All of the above makes me incredibly giddy!

My artwork is represented nationally in many collections including Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee and Kingsley/Kondos Gallery at Sacramento City College. I have exhibited my paintings, digital images and ceramic pieces in galleries throughout California, including solo shows in Sacramento, Arcata, Volcano and Sutter Creek, CA.

I love Etsy! My shop has given me a place to learn, grow and nurture my creativity. I don't really consider "Jackpot Jen" work, since I'm doing something that engages my mind, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. And did I mention that I LOVE Etsy? I am a major collector of odd and unusual pieces. I love hunting in attics, basements, barns and back roads in Northern California for that amazing find. (I'm not allergic to dust.)
